This is such a simple recipe and your kids can easily help make them. This is probably the number one holiday favorite at our house. The trick is keeping everyone out of them so we have some left for Christmas. My family has had this recipe about 40 years because my brother made them in second grade and brought home the recipe. They are his favorite candy to this day!! Leave me some feedback if you try making them.
Peanut Butter Balls
1/4 cup confectionery sugar
1 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
1 cup peanut butter
Mix confectionery sugar and chocolate chips together. Add the sweetened condensed milk and then the peanut butter. Mix very well.
Shape into 1" balls and place on waxed paper. Let candy set a bit and then store in an air tight container with waxed paper between the layers. Store in refrigerator.
*****OPTIONAL.... I always drizzle melted chocolate wafers over balls while they are still on the waxed paper just to make them look fancier. The original recipe did not do this.
