My youngest daughter and my hubby and I were talking about how different next Christmas is going to be. Megan and Scott will be having their baby in June and we will have our first grand baby to shop and make things for. We are all very excited about the new addition to our family. I think Megan will just be happy when she is done feeling sick, so she can enjoy her pregnancy. Anyway, the baby should be six months old by then and really a lot of fun. I have a feeling Grandpa and Grandma will be making many more treks to Canada . :o) It is funny sometimes how fast time goes. It doesn't seem like all that long ago that we were having our babies, and now one of them is having a baby. When the kids were little it felt like they would always be little and we would always be tired, and then we blinked and they were grown. I have to say that we are proud of the people they have become, and Steve and I have truly been blessed.
I blog about many different topics including my Etsy shops, my family and pets as well as some dieting discussion and occasionally television show reviews . I sometimes throw in a recipe and some pictures. I welcome new viewers and love it when my readers leave comments. :o)
I have been married to a truly amazing man for over 28 years. We have four birth children, a daughter age 27, a son, age 25 and twins, a girl and a boy age 21. We have three adopted sons, ages 21, 11, and 7. Our two younger boys have many special needs but are a blessing to us none the less. We have done foster care for about 9 years and despite the difficult situations that arise, it is a very rewarding experience and there is a such a need for good foster homes. At this point I have to say that in my opinion, our birth children are totally awesome individuals. It was a family decision to do foster care and then when the opportunity arose, to adopt. Our kids eagerly opened their hearts and shared their parents. We could never have had this opportunity to help other kids if it hadn't been for our wonderful children....we love them dearly.
